The promotion of efficient motors is not awesome, and the NPC deputies suggest enforcement

Electric motors are widely used in the industrial field as driving devices for various mechanical equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, machine tools, and conveyor belts. They are the most electricity consuming equipment. On March 10, Huang Daifang, a deputy to the National People's Congress, vice chairman of the Chinese Civil Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of Taihao Group, said in an interview that he suggested that the state force enterprises to use efficient motors, which would force motor manufacturers to transform and upgrade, and promote supply side reform.

The promotion of efficient motors is not awesome, and the NPC deputies suggest enforcement

"In recent years, the country has increased the promotion of efficient motors, and has also introduced many policies, including financial subsidies, but the effect is not obvious. At present, the proportion of efficient motors in the domestic stock of motors is only about 8%." On March 10, Huang Daifang, a deputy to the National People's Congress, the vice chairman of the China Civil Chamber of Commerce, and the chairman of Taihao Group Co., Ltd., said in an interview that the country is recommended to force enterprises to use efficient motors, which forces motor manufacturers to transform and upgrade, and promotes supply side reform.

Huang Daifang introduced that electric motors are widely used in the industrial field as driving devices for various mechanical equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, machine tools, and conveyor belts. They are the most electricity consuming equipment.

According to statistical calculations, in 2015, the total number of electric motors in China was about 2.4 billion kilowatts, with a total electricity consumption of about 3.5 trillion kilowatt hours. The total electricity consumption of the whole society was 5.55 trillion kilowatt hours, accounting for 65% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society; Among them, the total power consumption of industrial motors is 2.9 trillion kilowatt hours, and the industrial power consumption is 3.93 trillion kilowatt hours, accounting for 74% of the industrial power consumption. The power consumption of industrial motors accounts for 52% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society.

From a global perspective, 50% of the total annual electricity consumption and 60% -70% of industrial electricity consumption are consumed in the electric motor system. Optimizing the design of the electric motor system can save energy equivalent to 9% -13% of the country's industrial electricity consumption. The high-efficiency motor efficiency promoted by developed countries has reached over 91%, while the ultra high efficiency motor efficiency in the United States is as high as 93%, and the system operating efficiency is 10-20% higher than that in China

For every one percentage point increase in motor energy efficiency in the industrial sector, approximately 26 billion kilowatt hours of electricity can be saved annually. By improving energy efficiency, the overall efficiency of the motor system can be increased by 5-8 percentage points. Annual energy savings of 130-230 billion kilowatt hours can be achieved, equivalent to the power generation of 2-3 Three Gorges power stations.

The promotion of efficient motors can be traced back to 2007. In 2008, China listed the energy-saving of motor systems as one of the top ten energy-saving projects in the country. In 2009, the application of high-efficiency and ultra high efficiency motors was included in the welfare project for the people. On June 2, 2010, a notice was issued stating that high-efficiency motors would be included in the scope of energy-saving product welfare projects, which has attracted much attention to the market promotion of high-efficiency motors.

In recent years, the country has increased the promotion of high-efficiency motors, formulated motor energy efficiency level standards based on IEC standards, and successively introduced many policies to support the application and promotion of high-efficiency motors. However, the proportion of high-efficiency motors in the domestic stock of motors is only about 8%, and the growth rate of high-efficiency motors is slow, "said Huang Daifang. Currently, the social stock of motors is still mainly level 3 energy efficiency with low efficiency values
